The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and also to clean your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something requires attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be removed frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific route.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.
It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a robot cleaner tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
