The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with future models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move on if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.
Created to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
